Protected Species Surveys

Protected Species Surveys

Completion of species specific surveys to ensure any project is compliant with applicable legislation; specifically, species identified under Article 12 of the Conservation of Habitats and Species Regulations 2010 (as amended), the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 (as amended) and the Protection of Badgers Act 1992.

Private Sector

If you are undertaking a loft conversion, extension or even works to a mature tree you may require bat and or Barn owl surveys. Overgrown areas of gardens and small paddocks and stretches of hedgerow can provide good habitats for reptiles, badger and Dormice. If you have any ponds or ditches on your property, these may also require surveying prior to any planning submission for protected species such as Great crested newt and Water vole. We can undertake protected species surveys for you and provide you with the information that will be required with your planning application.

 Commercial Sector

Our experienced Ecologists can provide a range of highly detailed protected species surveys. We have surveyors with a wealth of species specific knowledge who are registered Natural England licence holders and legally allowed to undertake survey work that would otherwise be unlawful. For large and complex sites we can provide our clients with a transparent survey programme and ensure they are aware of the survey season timescales.
