Trees and Development
Trees are a ‘material constraint’ within the planning process and the recommendations of BS5837:2005 ‘Trees in relation to construction – Recommendations’ have resulted in the local authority requiring an arboricultural report in support of a planning application. We are able to provide a complete service from preliminary site appraisal, through to a detailed tree survey and production of an arboricultural impact assessment. We are experienced at working with design teams to resolve site specific issues, to create workable method statements, arboricultural supervision and contract management. Liaison with local authorities is an integral part of the process, ultimately leading to discharge of conditions.
We understand the pressing time constraints and can provided a full service, based on our extensive experience.
In summary, we can provide:
- Site appraisals (Pre-purchase or pre application)
- Tree Surveys
- Tree Radar (see below)
- Tree constraints plan (CAD or technical drawing)
- Arboricultural impact assessments
- Tree protection plan
- Method statements
- Site supervision
