D F Clark were employed to design & build the show home garden in Phase 1 of the Northstowe development. As part of the brief. materials and planting needed to reflect the quality of the house, while the garden itself needed to demonstrate to potential buyers what can be achieved within the space.
The garden leads out into two distinctive areas. To the left a hard landscaped feature deck with arbour seating, raised planters and topiary planting. To the right a level lawn with perimeter planting. Both areas are set out in a formal arrangement, providing elegant, uncluttered spaces and visual lines.
Within the feature seating area materials contrast and complement one another. Raised planter beds are clad in light cream & auburn tones of sawn sandstone, setting them apart from the charcoal coloured composite decking. The bespoke arbour seat adds height and structure to the space.
A range of structural planting softens the boundary fencing and creates focal features within every corner of the garden, providing various points of interest.
