Typical Design Process:

Initial Consultation

A member of our design team will come and meet with you to discuss our work and the design process. This will also give us the opportunity to view your garden and understand your brief. We will then take this information and provide you with an initial budget cost for the project including initial design fees.

Site Survey

On agreement of the design fees and depending on the size of the project, we may need to return to carry out a survey to obtain site measurements, before starting any design work. This will allow us to prepare accurate, detailed drawings which will be used to price the construction works. For large gardens, or those with complex level changes, an independent surveying company may need to be employed.

Concept Drawings & Indicative Planting Palettes

Draft designs are produced based on the client brief. Drawings will then be issued and discussed along with a planting and materials palette. Following this, any changes can be agreed and incorporated into the final design.

Detailed Drawings & Planting Plans

We will then prepare detailed drawings and planting plans, including species, quantities and planting densities. If required, we will also produce any project specific construction details. These drawings can then be used to accurately price the build.
